365体育备用网址You deserve a quality education at an affordable price – including easier access to military tuition assistance. The Adult Program at OKWU proudly offers a reduced undergraduate tuition rate of $250/credit for active-duty military using TAPS (Tuition Assistance Programs), and will waive the application and registration fees for those enrolling through the Adult Programs.

Active-duty members may also use Tuition Assistance (MTA). National Guard and Reservists may also tap into their TA programs, and OKWUprograms are VA-certified for any military member or veteran that has GI Bill benefits. The GI Bill provides benefits to veterans, service members and some dependents of disabled or deceased veterans wishing to pursue an education.

As a member of the community of military friendly universities, OKWU is proud to be a Post 911 GI Bill Yellow Ribbon Program Participant.

Military Spouses

Spouses of Active Duty or activated National Guard or Reserve service members may be eligible for the Military Spouse Career Advancement benefit which offers up to $6,000 in educational tuition assistance. To determine your eligibility for this program, and to register, please go to the MyCAA website.

Vocational Rehabilitation

365体育备用网址The Department of Veterans Affair’s Veterans Benefits Administration’s Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) service (also known as the Chapter 31 program) is vested with delivering timely, effective vocational rehabilitation services to veterans with service-connected disabilities. These services enable our injured marines, sailors, airmen, and other veterans with disabilities to make a seamless transition from military service to a successful rehabilitation and on to suitable employment after service to our Nation.

Financial Aid Timeline:

  • OKWU encourages all students to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible.  The FAFSA opens each year on October 1st for the upcoming award year.  For example if you are taking classes between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019, the 2018-19 FAFSA opens on October 1, 2017.
  • Prior to being cleared by Financial Aid for enrollment, you much complete a FAFSA and if you choose to take loans, you must also complete the Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling.
